Browning Island's Canada Day Paddle Past … back for Year 4
On Thursday July 1st (rain date Friday July 2nd), the annual CANADA DAY paddle past will take place between 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Choose your non-motorized vessel and set out around Browning island. You can go past five cottages or all the way around, in either direction, extending Canada Day greetings to other islanders and friends.
If you can, please dress in red and white, plus PFD. Of course, this year you may also choose to wear orange to recognize Indigenous issues.
Bring your own water so we can make this a safe and contact-free event. You are invited to stop at one of our checkpoint stations where greeters will be there to say hello, offer encouragement and take photos. All islanders are encouraged to be on their docks to observe, greet or paddle.
The checkpoints will each be displaying a Canadian flag or something red and white! Please take photos and submit them to BICA for the AGM, the website, or the newsletter. Follow our new Instagram page @browningislandmuskoka and post your pictures and/or video clips.
Checkpoints:
• Pat and Ron Stevenson #20
• Joan and John Rundle #492
• Malcolm and Elizabeth Ewashkiw #870
• Kirk Swanson Stanley Island
